Returning to a favorite venue is always a special experience, but my trip to the Camden County Boathouse in New Jersey felt like a beautiful intersection of friendship, professional growth, and cherished memories.
For this wedding, I had the absolute joy of stepping into the role of second photographer for my best friend, Zarah of Good Omen Photo Co. While she focused on leading the day and capturing those primary milestones, my responsibility was to dive into the “in-between” moments.
As a second photographer, I’m there to:
This is why you don’t see certain parts of the day, and just to add the ceremony was FAST! Literally they said “I do”, and was ready to party! These are also just bits and pieces of my work. If I shared full galleries in the blog, I would need A LOT more space.
One of the most memorable details of this wedding was the “cake.” Instead of a traditional tiered cake, the couple opted for a unique cookie wedding cake. It was such a fun, personal touch that perfectly reflected the intimate and joyful atmosphere of the day.
The Camden County Boathouse is a venue that holds a very dear place in my heart. My first time working there was alongside my late friend, John of JM Photography, who passed away in 2024. Returning to the Camden County Boathouse where we once worked together was an emotional experience. I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to return to the venues where we shared so many laughs and creative energy. Carrying those memories in my heart as I photograph new stories in those same spaces feels like a beautiful way to honor his legacy.
Working with Zarah to document this day was a reminder of why I love what I do: it’s about more than just photos—it’s about the people we work with and the memories that remain long after the day is over.
