J+A Wedding 2021 | Three Gables Barn

Congratulations to the new
Mr and Mrs Overhiser!!!

They were married on September 25, 2021 at
Three Gables Barn in Carlisle, Pa.

Not only was it a gorgeous September day…John and Ashton planned a day full of surprises for their family and friends! The first was they had everyone convinced that they were not going to have an officiant, and instead unite themselves on their own. Ashton wanted to surprise her mother by having her cousin marrying them in honor of her late Uncle who died at war (her Mom’s brother). Her Mother’s smile said it all as you watched him approach the Bride and Groom. She really had no idea, and the rest of the ceremony was filled with many more smiles and laughter all around! Their vows were so personal with fun stories of the journey together.

Next on the schedule was the formal family pictures, the bridal party pictures with everyone together, and lastly pictures of just the Bride and Groom. We do their pictures last to allow them some time to just have a moment for themselves. It’s so important for couples to step away from the crowd, and look at each other and say
“We did it!”

When we got to the reception…the surprises continued!! John and Ashton told us they choreographed their own first dance and they did NOT disappoint! It was a whole compilation of different songs, but a personal fav is when their dance started with
The Greatest Showman! Ashton and her Dad also choreographed their own dance that was hilarious with the “Welcome to the Griswolds” sign!

They finished their night by dancing with everyone which went strong until the night concluded!

Enjoy some of the highlights from their gallery. Congratulations again John and Ashton!

Diehl Wedding | Shelley Island

I love the uniqueness of every wedding I have the opportunity to document, and this one was a DIY masterpiece! Dan and Tiffany planned their backyard wedding out on Shelley Island in Goldsboro, Pa because water is an element that is close to them both, and their first dance was even to “Islands in the Stream”. The connection they have for one another is undeniable! Please enjoy the pictures of their day that was filled with so much love! Huge shout-out to the Bride’s Mother for the gorgeous decor!!

Cummings Wedding | Palladium

There’s a lot we can say about 2020, but one thing for sure is that love will always win! Adapting, pivoting, and pivoting again is what many couples had to endure including James and Monica. They certainly have a sweet love story too. They’ve known each other since they were kids, but life happened that disconnected them. Later they connected again, and he proposed to her at her birthday party!! I got to see the recorded video and she was so surprised!!

Their wedding on August 22nd at the Palladium in Baltimore, Maryland was still just as lovely, and their strength in one another carried them through this difficult year. Also, how fun was it to have a little block party after their wedding! It was a beautiful wedding, and I couldn’t be more happier for you both.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Cummings!

Schultz Wedding | Duncannon, Pa

Their story began out of Deb’s pure curiosity as to how Tyler’s John Deere backhoe worked. Who would have thought that years later on that very same property where they shared their first kiss, they would become husband and wife…

The Wedding took place on their own private property that faces the Susquehanna River. This October day was absolutely gorgeous! The blue checkered pattern isn’t only on her favorite lotion, but it’s also a huge part of the wedding decor! I love so much how it all ties in! While Tyler was getting ready, we had a fun conversation regarding counting down facts that he learned while preparing these last few months for the wedding! I loved watching Deb’s excitement over Instagram with her countdowns on the letter board, and how throughout all the wedding planning, she stayed true to herself with her watch! Then, it was just by the hands of Tyler’s Mom stitching on the final details to add the finishing touch…Everyone was ready to witness the marriage of Tyler, and Deb…including one of their cats!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Schultz!!!

But wait…there’s more to this story that I don’t want you to miss as you’re looking through their pictures….When Tyler was just a boy, he found 3 beautiful stones when he was mining in North Carolina. Ever since then they were sitting in their natural form in a film canister, and now in the form of a gorgeous engagement ring. And, if you look closely…their wedding bands were custom made! It’s their quote that has always stuck with them,”Over, or Under, or Through”, written in elveish! The photos where you see them on the driveway with their guests behind them is where they had their first kiss!…and the John Deere that brought them together!

Hunt Wedding | Lake Redman

So these two goof balls got married, and I can say that because the Bride is my Mom! Although this was a personal family event, I still took this job seriously as if she was a Client of mine. For that reason I will refer to her by her name, Joanne. 🙂

John, and Joanne met online a couple years ago. I remember her talking about him, and was a little unsure because this guy lived
further away then she’d like. In time though, if you know it is right, you just have to follow your heart!

John works at his family farm, so of course the tractor was a key focal point of their day! Then for fun John wanted to get a picture of them with their cross bows!

The reception took place at one of their favorite local bar/restaurant, The Valley Tavern.

Congratulations John, and Joanne (Mom)!

Light Wedding | Canna Country Inn

Becoming Light…the wedding of Aaron and Leah!
It was a crazy hot day in September, but that didn’t stop this amazing couple from getting married!

Just a quick backstory: Leah is my super awesome DoTERRA lady! I met her randomly at a vendor event, and who knew that just less than a year later I was asked to photograph their wedding! What! Such a HUGE honor, and I’m beyond thankful to have been chosen to do this for them. It’s been a blast getting to know her, and Aaron. ALSO, I’d like to share as to why their date was September 28th. They had two dates in mind, but weren’t able to pick which would be best. So, they asked their sweet dog Lilly! Aaron put the dates in his hands, and Lilly picked for them! Ah, it melted my heart!

The Canna Inn has so much character with a cozy feel which was the perfect setting for their big day.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Light!
