Katie M | College Graduation 2021

college grad session, graduation session

We were contacted by Katie who own our voucher in a raffle. She chose to celebrate her accomplishment of graduating from Messiah College! In our time together, we shared memories of attending the same High School (Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester, Pa), and of staff who meant a lot to us. She’s working towards becoming a school counselor, and in the short time we talked, it is clear  she will do an excellent job in that career!

Katie wanted a more downtown feel so York City was perfect!
Congratulations Katie on your accomplishments, and many more to come!

These are just some favorites from the gallery.

Diehl Wedding | Shelley Island

I love the uniqueness of every wedding I have the opportunity to document, and this one was a DIY masterpiece! Dan and Tiffany planned their backyard wedding out on Shelley Island in Goldsboro, Pa because water is an element that is close to them both, and their first dance was even to “Islands in the Stream”. The connection they have for one another is undeniable! Please enjoy the pictures of their day that was filled with so much love! Huge shout-out to the Bride’s Mother for the gorgeous decor!!

Courtnie | 30th Birthday Shoot

When you get an inquiry for a “Funeral for my youth” themed session, you say Yes! I got approval from a cemetery that was the most perfect background for Courtnie. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fall day too. It was fun getting to do something different, and all for her 30th birthday. It’s far too often that people don’t get pictures taken of just themselves and their own milestones. Kudos to Courtnie for wanting to celebrate herself! Happy 30th Birthday!

Make A Wish | Fundraising Event 2020

Year after year, this team does everything they can to raise money to support a lot of wishes for children in the area. The biggest fundraising event is in the summer, but it looked different this year. Last year they were able to have a big indoor auction. When the challenge was brought on by the restrictions, the team actually made the event was bigger and better! I believe they are considering on having their next one like this too with vendors, food trucks, and entertainment.

Regardless of the pandemic, LeAnn’s Make-A-Wish team succeeded in raising over $17,000 for 2020! It was absolutely incredible as always to see everyone come together, and put on such a huge event! Unfortunately due to COVID, their Make-A-Wish child, Noelle, wasn’t able to be there in-person.
Nonetheless everyone who pitched in had one thought in common…It’s for the KIDS!

This is Noelle who is 6 years old, and is being treated for cancer in Hershey.
Her wish was a yellow English Labrador Retriever puppy! Noelle’s wish came true the day before the event. Meet little AJ!

Please enjoy some of the highlights from the day. If you feel led to make a donation, or donate items that can be sold for auctions/raffles, you are welcome to contact me and I’ll inform the team!

BorderLine did a great job providing music for the event, and Brad Trackman concluded the event!

Thank you Food Truck Vendors for supplying an amazing selection, and donation a portion of your sales to Make-A-Wish!

Tom and Amy | Maternity Session

maternity session

There is always so much beauty watching a mom to-be embracing her baby while in the womb. What was even more exciting was Amy, and Tom didn’t know their baby’s gender! On July 13th, they welcomed a sweet little baby girl! Congratulations you guys! Parenthood looks good on you both!

This gown is available for expecting, and non-expecting ladies to use for your session with me.

COVID19 Birthday | Bronya Schmoyer Ceramics

April 11, 2020…my daughter turned 13! Whaaat??!! I still can’t believe I have a TEENAGER! It’s amazing how fast they
grow in a blink of an eye. However, this year was different. The original plans of having a fun mother daughter shopping trip
didn’t happen. She was bummed, but ok since she is a pretty chill kid, but as a Mom I was sad for her.

Many of you who know me, or at least have followed me for awhile know that I’m a huge cheerleader for small businesses! With the change in plans, I was incredibly thrilled to see a special clay project that Bronya Schmoyer Ceramics was offering! I messaged her almost last minute, and ordered 2 clay projects because we all know little brother would want to play too! The day started with presents which she got some gift cards, crafts, makeup, and of course books! She is an incredible reader! For lunch we ordered Indian food from Banana Leaf in Mechanicsburg. It was so good as always! Then it was time to play! Earlier in the week, Bronya went LIVE on her facebook page to show how to make a pinch pot. She also encouraged us to make whatever we wanted if they kiddos had other ideas.

I can’t say enough how much joy this project was, and how fun it was to see my kid’s laugh with each other!!
Thank you so much Bronya for thinking outside the box during this pandemic! You’ve brought a lot of light, and laughter in our world!

Please check out her facebook and instagram for mugs she has available to purchase, and to see more of her work!

Hunt Wedding | Lake Redman

So these two goof balls got married, and I can say that because the Bride is my Mom! Although this was a personal family event, I still took this job seriously as if she was a Client of mine. For that reason I will refer to her by her name, Joanne. 🙂

John, and Joanne met online a couple years ago. I remember her talking about him, and was a little unsure because this guy lived
further away then she’d like. In time though, if you know it is right, you just have to follow your heart!

John works at his family farm, so of course the tractor was a key focal point of their day! Then for fun John wanted to get a picture of them with their cross bows!

The reception took place at one of their favorite local bar/restaurant, The Valley Tavern.

Congratulations John, and Joanne (Mom)!

Valle Wedding | Wisehaven

It was a beautiful September day at Wisehaven in York where Jose, and Ashley got married! Really, the weather was absolutely perfect! Knowing this family for a very long time, I also knew there was a lot of emotions going on because Ashley’s Mom, Kelly, was no longer with us. We all miss her so much.

The day continued with the wedding preparations and it was magical watching Ashley become such a beautiful bride! And the guys were full of laughter while getting ready! Ashley had a sweet gift for her soon to-be husband too. Then it was time for the ceremony begin, and Jose was emotional as he waited to see his Bride. I think many of us were tearing up watching him. I can’t say enough again how perfect the day was, and we got some incredible pictures out at close by park. When it was time to celebrate, their guests and wedding party knew how to show up! It was a blast!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Valle!

The Dentlers | Family Session

I always say how each family has a unique story, and I love hearing about them all…But this one in particular is hard to put into words because of all the ups and downs this family endured. We went to the York Fair to take their family pictures, and some pictures of Miss “H” because she was turning 3 years old. It was her mom’s request to have 3 butterflies added to one of Miss “H”‘s pictures, which represents three angel babies. Miss “H” is a rainbow baby, and for those who don’t know, a rainbow baby is a baby born after a loss.

Miss “H” is full of sass, laughter, and very much your typical 3 year old! It was so much fun celebrating you!
